Our history

ornament1Greater Galatian Baptist Church emerged from home beginnings from New Hope Baptist Church in January 1970, where Rev. Dr. Charles Burgs took leave as Pastor of New Hope Baptist Church.

What we do?

ornament1Find your place in one of GOD’s ministries. At GGMBC each of us has a special gift given to us by GOD. “Ministry” is from the Greek word diakoneo, meaning “to serve” or douleuo, meaning “to serve as a slave.” In the New Testament, ministry is seen as service to God and to other people in His name. Jesus provided the pattern for Christian ministry—He came, not to receive service, but to give it (see Matthew 20:28; Mark 10:45; John 13:1-17).

The Church Is Called To Make Disciples

"Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20 ) "

    From The Pastor

"We believe that GOD can transform your life and birth out of you the extraordinary potential that lye within. Every Christian can move out of the ordinary to the extraordinary when they become totally committed and dependent on GOD. Jesus says in John 10:10 “I am come that they might have life and have it more abundantly”. Through divine intervention in your life the impossible becomes possible.
Rev. James A Gilkey, Sr. Pastor"
